Local Gifting in Easthampton + Northampton

I love shopping locally in Easthampton and Northampton for gifts any time of year, but especially around the holidays.The gifts you can find are unique, creative, homegrown and fun! Here is a list of five local, small businesses and some ideas to make your shopping experience more zen.

Mt. Tom’s Homemade Ice Cream and Candy Store

I’ve lived in Western MA for fourteen years and I have yet to meet a soul who doesn’t delight in Mt. Tom’s ice cream.  Buy a gift certificate and pair it with the recipient's candy of choice.  What a sweet treat!

Nash Gallery

I always find something unique and super special to gift within Nash Gallery.  They have handmade jewelry, art, pottery, scarves (and on and on).  In the past, I’ve purchased gift certificates for my children’s teachers, silver leaf ornaments, earrings.  Ahh I love this place. You probably will too.

I have the hardest time making decisions about gifts (hence this list).  If you are anything like me, hemming and hawing over what to give, put that responsibility on your giftee by purchasing a gift card to the Easthampton or Northampton Chamber of Commerce.  I honestly did not know this was a thing until recently.  Does your giftee like tattoos, piercings, presidential dog chews, local craft beer, facials, acupuncture, MASSAGE, eating spaghetti? This is the gift for them!

Cornucopia

One of the perks to working on Main St. in Northampton is being in the general vicinity of Cornucopia.  Recently, I purchased a fancy, fluffy, weighted eye pillow (as discussed in my previous blog post), and someone on my list this year is receiving a Himalayan salt lamp.  I feel good about putting my money into this local biz as their vendors are local, organic, and ethical.

Inspirit Crystals
